No police reports were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have taken place.

Rice's Recent Off-Field Troubles

Rice missed the initial part of this season due to an NFL suspension for his involvement in instigating a multi-vehicle accident on a Dallas highway that left multiple people injured. He was given 30 days in jail and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to serious offenses.

On the field, Rice concluded the year with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five touchdowns as the Kansas City finished with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first time in a ten-year span.
