Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.

An official for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.

The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.

He has published in excess of 40 works in total, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
